Power Saving Techniques in 5G Technology for Multiple-Beam Communications

The evolution of mobile technology and computation systems enables User Equipment (UE) to manage tremendous amounts data transmission. As a result current 5G technology, several types wireless traffic in millimeter wave bands can be transmitted at high rates with ultra-reliable small latency communications. networks rely on directional beamforming mmWave uses overcome propagation losses during penetration. To align the best beam pairs achieve rates, beam-search operations are used 5G. This combined multibeam reception high-order modulation techniques deteriorates battery power UE. In previous 4G radio system, Discontinuous Reception (DRX) were successfully save energy. reduce energy consumption multiple-beam communications, we will propose this paper DRX Beam Measurement technique (DRX-BM). Based power-saving factor analysis delayed response, model DRX-BM into semi-Markov process tracking time. Simulations MATLAB assess effectiveness proposed avoid unnecessary time spent search. Furthermore, simulation indicates that our makes an improvement saves 14% minimum delay.
